KNOWLEDGE HIP-HOP
mempelajari seni mempertahankan diri.
Pop-Tart Commercials, Fruit-of-the-loom commercials, SPRINT MCI commercials, Dr Pepper and Coke Commercials dan pelbagai klip
Lihatlah sekarang ramai artis
Malaysia yang mula memperkenalkan lagu Hiphop antaranya ialah Too Phat. Breakdance mula mendapat perhatian dunia semula.

Elemental Hip-Hop
First of all, lets define what Hip-Hop is. Hip-Hop
is the creative urban culture composed of music, dance, art, and style. The music is made from DJs and MCs. The dancers are
called B-Boys and B-Girls. The artwork is from Aerosol Artists and their art is called Graffiti. And the styles are endless.
These Elements compose Hip-Hop.
DJ's & MC's
The word DJ (Deejay) comes from Disc Jockey, and the
word MC (Emcee) comes from Master of the Ceremony. Together the DJ and the MC rock the party. A fly DJ and a dope MC are very
essential, since music is the foundation to Hip-Hop Culture. Deejaying or Spinnin' records was made popular by the likes of
Cool Herc, Afrika Bambaata, Grand Wizard Theodore, DST, and Grandmaster Flash. These pioneer Deejays created Hip-Hop Deejaying.
In addition, a new term for deejaying has arisen. Turntablism, the art of manipulating the turntable as a musical instrument.
The Turntablist plays the turntable just as a jazz musician would play an instrument. One of the creators and founders of
Turntablism is Q-bert.
B-Boying
B-Boys & B-Girls, otherwise known as breakdancers,
are the real names for Hip-Hop dancers. The nickname Break came about because when the Deejays played music, B-Boys would
do amazingly skillful acrobatic type moves during the breaks of the song. The break is the part of the song with the most
rythmatic and powerful drumbeat. Breakers have groups or Crews that Battle or compete against each other to see who has the
best moves. Rock Steady Crew is the most highly recognized crew. Much respect to them. And with the help of "Battle of the Year," from Germany, B-Boying can't stop, won't stop, don't stop rockin'!
Graffiti
Graffiti or Aerosal Art are the terms used for Hip-Hop
artwork. Graf Writers created an innovative and unique new paint form that uses spray cans instead of paint brushes. Buildings,
trains, and walls are used instead of canvas. In addition, Tags, Throwups, and Burners are some of the names used to describe
the different styles of Graf writing. A detailed and comprensive explanation of the history of Graffiti can be found @149st.
